Re: need BENCO RACING input

I purchased a type 1 freeway flyer with welded gears and all the other performance parts in it 2 years ago. I love it and haven't had any problems. It has about a thousand miles on it and it is quiet. Hope this helps.

Re: Where to install a remote oil cooler

Update on the oil cooler installation. I hope this will help anyone else that has the same situation that I have. I installed the cooler between the spare tire well and the battery box and attached it to the body. First attempt was with the 10 inch fan on it. The fan was too large and hit the top of...

Re: Where to install a remote oil cooler

I want mine to be out of sight. I have already ordered a 72 plate with a 10 inch 1000 cfm fan. The cooler is 10 x 11 inches. I was told that most people put them over the transmission but that is in a bug and not a manx buggy. Since the spare tire well has several curved sides to it I don't think it...

Where to install a remote oil cooler

I have a Manx I and installed a larger engine in it. Now I am installing a remote oil cooler. My question is where do most people or where is the best place to install it. The cooler measure 10" x 11" x 4 1/4" with the fan.

Re: First Build thread of 2015 and of the new Forum - Lorett

Great buggy pictures and view of the Lake Murray. I am wondering where you and Jeff were at for the pictures. When I look down the lake from the front of my house I can see the damn six miles away. If I knew how to attach a photo I would show you a picture of my manx and in the back ground bomb isla...

Re: Original Meyers Manx Soft Top...

Brian if you are still in Irmo you are welcome to come and see my top. I had it made using Buds old top and pictures of the top on my manx in the 70's. The top was made locally and in 2006 or 07 it was around $450.00.

Re: Buggy Insurance

Spoke with my Nationwide agent about increasing the value on the Manx and she told me that Haggarty was just bought by Nationwide and she would check with them. After a couple of days she called and said they would insure it for the value I was looking for but I had to have it authenticated and have...

Re: Buggy Insurance

I have had mine insured with NationWide since 2003 as a manx dune buggy. Now about two years ago they reclassified it as a recreational vehicle. I began to question them about the change and why did the cost go down to $80.00 a year. They told it went down because it wasn't driven on the road. I tol...

PM and no PM

Several times I have gotten an email stating that I have a PM and when I check there is none. This time I did a search for the one sending the PM and it came back negative. My computer skills are not the best but I don't understand what is going on.

I use the one piece unit and use a Bosch filter on it. My unit has a gasket which separates the intake and discharge sides so I don't think it recirculates any oil. Lee I have a 1776 and I don't have an external cooler. On a 98 degree day it may get up to 180 degrees but that is as hot as it gets an...

KIT Autobody

I was watching the speed channel today and they had a piece with Bruce and Winnie on the program KIT Autobody. They spoke of the both Kick-outs and spoke of the gatherings and said they plan to show the Kick-out build later.
