Valvoline 20W-50 with half a bottle of STP Oil Treatment (the Four Cylinder stuff in the red bottle). Stock engine, no filter or additional oil cooler. I run this year round, Southern California. The coldest it gets here in the winter is usually in the forties, and I don't drive the buggy much when ...

Gene, I doubt it. The suit was brought on because the BLM included routes in the West Mojave Plan which had been illegally created after 1980. The eco groups don't want those routes to be included unless an environmental study is done on them first. Yeah, there's plenty of money for that! I don't th...

About the only other way to brace the horns from above would be to make sure the engine cage is tied to the buggy's roll cage, then make braces that go between the engine cage and the ends of the trans horns. This is basically what I did with the rail buggy. I couldn't figure out an easy way to do t...

The Sombrero is presently the only bimini top I would consider. I had one made by an upholstery shop, and it would snap in the wind no matter what I tried. From what I have read, the Sombrero does not have this problem. The other option is to build a roof rack with an aluminum roof and never have to...
