Well... I just took a closer look at what I have. I guess at one point I needed I piece of fiberglass and I cut a nice piece out of one of them......sure it could be repaired. If no one is interested in them, they will get tossed.

Manxter side pods
I have a set of Manxter side pods (non-vented version) that are just taking up space. They really are too large to ship, so if by chance there is anyone willing to come get them (NJ), they are yours.

Re: Manxter Hood Prop Ideas
Trial and error...the lower pivot point is located on that little bit of body pad. What was important was the forward travel. I wanted the hood to stop just before the front bumper tube.

Re: Manxter Hood Prop Ideas
I just saw this thread....and I went and did some digging in the files. I found the invoice for the gas struts. I bought them through a company called Engineered Components Inc. engrcomp.com . The description lists them as # 1589EK. I did a search and found them cross referenced at another site. Muc...

Re: It's been a while.....
Hi Tom,
Actually, I am "thinking" about the Mendeola suspension. I'm not sure about going with the Subaru engine again though. I did read about the Subigears trans in a TurnKey Manx post. I am curious if there is an adapter that would mate the VW engine to the Subi trans.

It's been a while.....
Hi guys!
Just popping in to say hello. I built Manxter #033 back in '06 and as far as I know Bruce has owned it for a few years now.
I am thinking of building another Manxter so I might have some questions with what has changed with the Manxter.
Anything new?

Manxter #033 KIT CAR mag article online
KIT CAR made Manxter #033 their feature car on their website. The article is also posted along with a few extra photos that were not in the print issue. I think that the pictures actually look better on-line than in the print magazine. So, if you didn't go out and buy a copy of the November '07 issu...

November Issue of Kit Car. Buy it!
Manxter #33 has a 5 page full color feature in the November issue of Kit Car. The issue should hit the stands shortly (this week or next) and Borders is usually a good bet. Olli

Manxter #33 in Kit Car Mag
Sept. '07 issue of Kit Car. In their Carlisle Import/Kit Car National's coverage there is a nice picture of #33. The full feature of #33 should be in the Nov. issue of Kit Car. The car is running flawlessly! Love that Subaru power. The car, well me actually, just recieved an "Honorable Mention&...

Manxter #033 on the scale
Put #033 on a scale today. With 11 gallons of fuel ,yes there was room for more fuel !!! My cruising range will be excellent. Yes, the roof was on and remember mine is padded and covered with a headliner. I would say that the roof weighs 20-25 lbs.(????) 1980lbs. That is a little heavier than I had ...

Manxter #033 @ Carlisle
I took #033 to the Import/Kit Car Nationals at Carlisle this past weekend. The Manxter was entered into the Concours judging. Pretty intense stuff including getting the car up on a ramp for undercarrige judging. The Manxter did very well. This Manxter is 100% homebuilt other than the outstanding fit...
