Gary, the 2 studs (welded into the flat stock piece) are already in the drilled horizonial holes in hood, on each side, slid close to hood. You then line up the vertical groove beginning at bottom of windshield side & slide the windshield down on the flat stock. Hope this helps, Gary in Illinois-...

Wiill this fuel filler work? I am trying to figure out if I can mount fuel filler in center & towards rear of hood on my buggy with rubber hose straight down. It measures 2 1/4" in total length. I can shorten it to 1 1/4" if I have to. I know I will have to weld short pipe up from gas ...

Steering column hole in Manx clone
Ready to drill 1 7/8" hole in firewall for steering column tube. Used straight edge with rag joint bolted up to get angle for hole, then marked & drilled small hole. Looks like hole is way too low for cross brace, (which is a Berrien). Does steering box sometimes need to be turned, (up in m...

LED alternator dash light?
I'm thinking of using 5/32" dash indicator lights. I will be using them for alternator, Turn signal, hi beam, & oil pressure light. Will an LED "excite" the alternator into working? Is anyone else using these lights? Also the fuse block I have does not have a provision for splitti...

Does size really matter?
I found a 6'1" X 11'10" trailer frame today. There is 63" between 12" tires. It was a tent camper & has a lot of rails across the frame. It has torsion bar suspension & 2000 lb capacity. I was going to make floor with 1/2 treated plywood. Since my buggy is still in many p...

gas tank questions
I'm fitting gas tank on new body & have some questions. Will it be worth it, if using early new tank, to relocate gas line exit hole in bottom farther towards front of buggy so tank will drain completely? Looks lower. Does anything interfere with gas line? How much more gas can be drained? Also ...

Tach fitting
I solved the tach clearance problem. Bought a newer VDO tach. I have an older style VDO tach which is longer than newer style which has a different & shorter way of mounting it. The newer has a spin lock which is basically a big plastic nut. See, throwing enough money at a problem sometimes solv...

Tach won't clear
Drilled holes for gauges in dash. Tach light housing hits wiper linkage. Any way to move bulb housing or tweek linkage? Thought it would be close, but not hit linkage. In Illinois I am required to have electric wipers to pass inspection.
