First thing I want to say, thank you for your honesty. As for the front bumper, I will be adding a piece of Diamond plate to fill on the area between the side posts. In hopes that it will work as a skid plate. I think I do need to go a little wider, I gotta fill up that area or it will look stupid. ...

I borrowed a wheel and tire from the dealership that I work at. I am going to go with Off-Road tires, but wanted to get opinions. I was thinking of going with something that is not widely used in the Dune Buggy world. I am thinking of using 19 inch wheels with low-profile off road tires in the back,...

Please Update!

Please update!!! I have not seen anything since 7-21-06. I have had my Buggy at the welder for for a LONGGGGG time, waiting for my custom built front & rear bumper cages to be built. One of those deals...he had a couple of jobs ahead of me, then he got sick. I would be upset if it was not a hobb...

Single Port Questions???

I have 2 single port motors and rather then just toss them out I am thinking about going ahead and and rebuilding one and putting it into my buggy, untill I have saved up and rebuilt a Corvair or a larger VW Motor. Please keep in mind that I am building this by the seat of my pants, and am learning ...

Nope!

A classic MINI is to much money! I can get a REALLY Nice Baja for $5000. I will only be able to get a crappy little rust bucket Mini for $5000. Plus I am building a Buggy, and I will be able to put the motor from the bug into my buggy when all is said and done.

I have no car! Help

Well as I have mentioned before, I sold my MINI. I am going to wait for the 2007s to come out before I order another one. Soooo I will be MINI less until March perhaps April. I am thinking about buying a nice little classic bug to get around until then. Its a classic car so it will keep people from ...

Lookin' good but I'm not sure how safe I'd feel with those low body sides. I will feel as safe in this buggy as I would any other buggy. I don't think fiberglass is going to stop much of anything with real force. I hope that did not come off like a know it all, because I am not. I am learning as I ...
