TOP UP WEATHER
for those who live in a 4 season area, a top and side curtains work for keeping cold air out, as well as rain. By putting up a top you can still drive late into fall season. cold today so its up (60 degrees ) for pictures on how it is folded and stored see my gallery. this top is hurricane proof. su...

SWING AXLES AND FULCRUM WEAR LIFE
my transaxle of 45,000 miles and 20 years suffered terribly due to my ignorance and abuse. new benco trans with super diff on way. new axles , new fulcrum plates, used fulcrum gear, new bearings, seals gaskets on the way. I know not to make the same mistakes that caused the first trans to detonate. ...

had to quit facebook goup
yes I had to quit the manxclub face book group, I couldn't stop making fun of stupid questions or poking fun at stuff. so I came back here. facebook is designed for socializing, and I cant do that with covid around. by it being public, many non members just not into buggies but looking for free work...

Re: Depreciation or Appreciation of buggys
bossman, I know the market is bad for selling, I'm talking about auction value or collecter car insurance values. My value is high because a signature series Manx is the only limited edition of 100 ever produced. It is also the series that reintroduced the Manx back from obscurity, and the molds for...

Depreciation or Appreciation of buggys
Does the value of a dune buggy depreciate in value like a modern car does? For instance my Signature Series Manx built in Y2K with new parts for a cost of $15,000 dollars. $10,000 parts including shipping. $5,000 labor est. So now 20 years later with 40,000 miles is it worth more or less? The engine...

Re: New menber needing help.
Bazz, First gas leaks are dangerous. carefully disconnect the battery and don't use the buggy until you fix this issue. you are one spark away from a burnt buggy. The hood is simply removed by drilling out the rivets, or bolts that hold it to the body on the underside of the body above the front tir...

Re: I think I may have a early Manx
I highly doubt it. The main difference between a real manx and others is high quality. You would not think to change a manx body due to there being no need. At any rate since the body has been modified it ruins its value as being a real manx. Sorry. Good news is you can now purchase a new Manx body ...

Re: Racepoint ORV beach reopens April 15 2020
5150 bossman, My post has proven to me local buggy owners are not interested in driving this beach. The current permit rules are on their website. The cape cod national seashore. They call it osv (over sand vehicles). Sorry but the rule change allowing only 4 wheel drive vehicles was passed back in ...

Re: Racepoint ORV beach reopens April 15 2020
THIS PROPOSED EVENT IS CANCELLED. Due to lack of interest and permit rule changes banning all 2 wheel drive vehicles from obtaining permits. You should have been there 30 years ago. Oh well what are you gonna do.
