Not a Meyers Manx, 1970 Marcas Scorpion

I just picked up an original unrestored shop built garage kept buggy. The hood style is a little hard on the eyes at first, with it's '67-'69 Firebird 400 hood scoops and pointed nose, but it's so clean and original, that it's growing on me. The bottom of the pan is so clean, that at first I thought the pan halves were recently replaced, but they're OE.
Listed are the highlights:
Scorpion by Marcas Fiberglass in Awater, CA
shop built in 1970
garage kept
blue plates
perfect gold gelcoat body with matching fiberglass belt guard
1957 Porsche 1600 engine
twin exhaust
unknown swing axle trans
1962 rust free Pan
Firestone Super Sports G60-15 and Firestone Mini Sports 6.45-14
Appliance rims
black vinyl VW seats
tan simulated vinyl hardtop
CB
VW AM radio
Realistic Hi-Fi wooden box speaker
Dietz 820 and Yankee lights, funky atomic tail lights.
1970 Dodge Charger flip up gas cap
wood roller pedal
wood rimmed steering wheel
tube buggy bumpers and skid plate
wind deflectors
chrome edge trim
chrome roll bar
1970 VW speedo with gas gauge
1962 VW gas gauge
So far, everything works and it runs well.
The original owner had it until last year and sold it after it sat for a few years. The prior owner freshened it up, painted the wheels, mirrors and bumpers black, and never used it.
