Wheel Studs
I have 4 bolt drums. I remeber when I got my centerlines put on, the wheels studs unscrewed when they where removing my old wheels. I was just pulling my wheels today and 2 studs again unscrewed as I took the bolts off. This is the type of stud that screws into the drum with an allen key from the outside. Could I use locktight on these to hold them in better. The threads are fine and seem nice and tight, I just thought that they would be counter threaded or something. Could I potentially screw them in too far? What type of locktight (color) any other suggestions? Thanks.....

It should hold forever.

I haven`t used them myself, but a friend uses studs from NAPA. The holes need to be drilled out larger, and they are welded in from the back side of the drum. He swears by them. I would worry about what to do with damaged threads. As far as screwing the hex key type in too far, yes, they can rub your brake retaining springs.
I have 4 lug rims and I used Empi press in studs on my wheels. I had to enlarge the bolt holes with a 9/16'' drill and just pressed them in. The fronts work great no modifications, but the rears, I had to grind a tad off the heads to miss the brake linings. They work great and are splined so the won't turn. :2cents: Jimbo
