To lift or not to lift
I have a 3'' lift and big feet. I don't know where I lost any room??? It is only due to the lift that i can fit into it. also the one thing you have to think about is the steering column will not work in the stock spot with a lift . you will need to move the hole in the dash to lower the steering wheel.

Pismo Beach/Oceano Dunes. http://ohv.parks.ca.gov/default.asp?page_id=1207 I think it's about 4 square miles of dunes. Just avoid the holidays unless you don't mind feeling like a sardine with everyone else out there vying for space. You can camp on the beach, just remember the changes in tides. I've seen million dollar RV's out there in the sand and surf (also seen them stuck in both!
). It's almost half way between L.A. and San Francisco.

Don't think the problem is with if the wheel will work in the same hole or not. If you leave the wheel in the same hole, the steering wheel angle will be much steeper and closer to the windshield (knuckles rubbing when you turn, etc...). You should test it out to see if it will work that way or not. Sit in it and check to see if there is also enough or too much space from the bottom of the wheel to your lap. Is the new position comfortable on long runs? When I did ours, I just used a hole saw to cut the new hole, and took the left over piece out and glued it back in the old hole. You could glass it back in if you wanted.
