you can go wide without having low profile. what kind of driving will you be doing? street and you should be fine. offroad might be a problem. i went 275/60- 15 . went tall so i could air down alot. indy firehawks. i was at 10lbs at the beach and bottomed out real quick cause it wasn't low enough. had to go down to around 4lbs for good traction. so what are the plans for the buggy? looks like it would look good with a lift and 33inchers.

I really like the roll cage. I'm not so sure about the low profile tyres, I think you would be better off sticking with an off road look. Have a look at this link to see what low profile tyres would be like. http://www.manxgallery.org/gallery/TyreSelection

First thing I want to say, thank you for your honesty. As for the front bumper, I will be adding a piece of Diamond plate to fill on the area between the side posts. In hopes that it will work as a skid plate. I think I do need to go a little wider, I gotta fill up that area or it will look stupid. After seeing the video of the stuck Buggy in the sand, I think I have changed my mind on the low profile tires. Not that I will be able to drive on much sand. I live in San Antonio, and we don't have much more then Rocks and cedar trees. Once again thank you so much for the honesty, it always seems to help me!

If you want to use the skid plate as a skid plate make sure you have the smooth side on the outside. It will slide over rocks etc much easier.
