Steve Fossett

Post by mel hubbard »

I've been following the search stories for missing Steve Fossett over the past week,,, I find it hard to take in that after one weeks searching for a light plane with rescue beacons, nothing has been found  OK I know its 17,000 sq miles of Navada, but this IS 2007!!! One guy is reported as saying >> The search for Steve could be a front for a missing nuclear weapon that was said to have gone missing from a plane that flew last week over the US,,,,,, 6 missiles were reported on the plane when it took off but ony 5 were reported on the plane when it landed  Well Im a bit sceptical bout that,,,, but its crazy to think that Steve would need to scout Navada with 4 hours of gas to find a spot to set a new land speed record  What do you guys think?? Either way I hope they find him alive n well,, at 63 years old he sure is a very adventurous guy.
I've been following the search stories for missing Steve Fossett over the past week,,, I find it hard to take in that after one weeks searching for a light plane with rescue beacons, nothing has been found
Mel, At last count they've found 8 previously undiscovered plane wrecks while searching for Fosset. There was an article in yesterday's paper about a guy from San Francisco who believes they may have found the wreck of his father's plane who disappeared on a flight to Reno in 1964. I believe I saw that there are over 150 aircraft that have been lost in Nevada in the past fifty years. Nevada is a series of mountain ranges separated by ancient dry lakes. There were some nukes that accidently got put on a B-52 last week but it flew from North Dakota to Louisiana.
