Did anyone else notice that the lifting hood that Bruce did didn't have any badge shield moulded into it or is it only sad buggers like me?

The manxter and kick out hoods are about 2 inches longer up front then the standard manx. This is because the the front section that the hood attaches and hinges from on lower and longer. This area as shaped differently and allow for additional storage space. In our manxter I have 2 quarts of oil standing up along w/ a ammo box for tools. I have also heard that some run their battery up there. That os the main reason why these hoods will not fit the standard manx hope that helps Doran

Thanks for the correction David. I guess my memory of the conversation was a little foggy. I know that there were commonalities between the front of the manxter and the kickout. Maybe he used the front clip of the manxter for the kickout and used a manxter hood to create the kickout hood, only modifying the headlight mounting area. They do look remarkably similar otherwise and hinge the same way. It would definitely take some doing to make one work on an original manx because of the hinging. Modifying the original manx hood might actually be easier.
