Southern California meet and greet?
Southern California meet and greet?
Anyone interested in a get-together before 2016 is done? We would like to become more involved with the club and meeting opportunities in the area. We are in the Temecula area and are open most weekends.
Suggestions; Day or weekend trip to Ocotillo Wells, Glamis North, Idllewilde, or any other fun destination. Or have a gathering at a local restaurant?
Thanks and looking forward to the fun a buggy provides...

Sounds like fun! We're in Riverside..... I'd enjoy coming if this gets off the ground....

Looks like the weekend of December 3rd is my last free weekend before the end of the year. So, if there is enough interest, then let's pick an area centrally located and make a day trip?

Why don't you just go to the Manx Club Saturday morning breakfasts that the Meyers have in the Valley Center area? We would love to live in that area and go to them on a frequent basis. Tom

Tom,
Funny you say that; we did breakfast yesterday and then went back to their shop to order seats and mounts for our buggy. This was our second breakfast and I can tell you, it's a very cool experience. It was only Bruce, Winnie, their Grandson, Lynn, and my wife and I. The history, experience, and stories Bruce shares are second to none. Bruce gave my wife and I the full tour of the shop, gave us a peek into the future, and signed our buggy. Left our house at 6:15am and the temp was in the high 30's/ low 40's; was a chilly drive but worth it.

Well, I guess planning a quick get together during the holidays is no easy task. Might consider a weekend in January to Glamis North for some desert exploring and poolside cocktails in the hot pools.

Ok,
We are booked for Jan 20-22 (checkin Friday and checkout Sunday). Our space is in the low 170's area.
We have only been here once but the trail opportunities look good and the hot spring pools after a dusty ride are very refreshing. This is not a 4 star campground; more like a "Redneck Riviera" without the Riviera . Also, though it has Glamis in the name, it is a full hour north of the dunes.

Come out for the day or grab a campsite and stay for the weekend!!!
Looking forward to meeting some of the faces to the screen names.

Refreshing the topic; to far for an accurate weather forecast but looks like it should be mild and dry.
I'm no meteorologist, but have a good chance of matching their accuracy

Well, the weather man says rain for the weekend and I'm not interested in playing in the rain/ mud. If anyone is interested the date has been changed to February 10 and 11.
