windshield bolts
You install the brackets on the side of the hood but leave the studs loose. You slide the windshield legs down over the brackets. The channels in the windshield are an almost closed C shape which trap the steel brackets. You tighten the nuts on the studs which protrude inside the rear of the hood and protrude through the upright legs of the metal dash frame, (if you have one). The studs pull the brackets and lower legs of the windshield frame tightly against the sides of the hood and the metal frame. Once you've tightened the nuts, the windshield is firmly secured to the hood and the dash frame. It doesn't move. For electrolysis, you also need moisture. If you drive a buggy in the rain a lot back east or northwest, and the inner channel of the windshield somehow filled with dirt and the frame stayed wet, you might eventually have a problem. In the southwest, probably not, especially with how the windshield frame is vertical and water in its channels would drain. Putting a good rust preventative paint on the steel parts before you assemble them would probably take care of it.
