I just talked to Bill and As of 1:00 pm today he is evacuated but his house has not burned. He said a lot of houses no. So. East and west of him had burned. The fire keeps changing direction and he has evacuated three times. Horses and animals are safe. He is still not out of the woods so everyone say a big prayer for him and his family, and of course everyone affected by this fire.

There's nothing more terrifying than fire. I'm so sorry Bill is having to go through this. I'm praying that his house, his animals, and  he and his family remain safe.   Hang in there Bill!

I talked to Bill this morning.
All of his buildings, cars and animals are ok.
He hopes to move back into his house as soon as the power company can bring back service.
Currently, he, Betsy and the animals are staying with friends.
Unlike some, Bill and Betsy were good about keeping the brush, trees and pine needles away from their buildings.
It paid off.  Many of their close neighbors lost their homes.  The total count for Black Forest is almost 500 homes lost.
