carpet
I bought QUALITY carpet from Mid Atlantic. cost about $150.00. I cut it to fit at the seat area. looks great. If your going to use your buggy off road, I would reconcider carpet at all. I took my ManxII out one day at the beach last summer and I am STILL vaccuuming sand out of the carpet. I am now building a clone and it will have no carpet. I'm going to Rhino Liner the int. instead

I have a Berrien frame and fiberglass floor. I considered using carpet, but this is a buggy, not an automobile, so I went to local Big Box hardware store and picked up a Herculiner bedliner kit. I also purchased an undercoating gun from The Eastwood Co. http://www.tinyurl.com/d2jn8and went to town spraying a couple of good coats. The results were great. Not only is it a tough non-slip surface, but it also masked all of all the scratches, extra drill holes and such in the fliberlgass floor pan. It looks so good, I'm going to use it to line some of the interior of the tub, that would normally get a bit of abuse. Eric Hamilton Fort Wayne, IN
I bought a set of carpeted floor mats. When they get dirty, I take them out, shake the rocks out of them, blast them off with the hose, hang them up to dry. I then take the shop vac and get the rest of the sand and rocks out of the cockpit. The mats are usually dry after 24 hours. Longer if you leave them out in the rain. If I could do it over I would still use the carpeted floor mats, but I would have also coated the entire pan with some type of bed liner.
Just my experience with both. I used marine grade carpet in my first buggy. It looked great when I put it in. After that, I regretted it. It was a pain to keep clean, trapped moisture and dirt. I wouldn't do it again. Now, my floors are bare diamond plate, with herculined sides and battery/spare tire well. Now, when it gets dirty, I just rinse it out with the hose. I highly recommend bare floors or mats on everything except show buggies.
the only problem I see with the molded carpet is most buggies have been modified rather extensively. Mine doesnt have an e-brake handle or stock pans and I think the sifter isn't even in the stock location. So the only way this kit will fit properly is if everything was left stock. I would just buy some carpet and do it myself personally.

yep, exactly. i tried ordering a bug carpet and it ended up coming and not fitting. apparently bugs had a foot rest on the passenger side so it was made to cover than. so it was long and square. and of course they won't take it back. oh well, it'll be used as a template on some home depot carpet. 75% of it is right, i'll just fix the rest.
I am the maker of the carpet sets. They are of extreme quality and will fit any stock pan that has been shortened. No holes have been cut and the carpet fits around every bump in the pan, Just like the car you drive every day. I know its hard to understand but the web site will be up soon and you will get a good look at it soon. www.tijuanakustoms.com With in a month every year will be available, Long and short. In fact we will be giving one away to someone who will install and post about it, Like it or hate it.
