Hi, Im Trying To Figure Out What Guage Steel Square Tubbing To Use When Conneting The Front Frame Support To The Back Frame Support. This Is The Outside Of The Floor Pans Where The Fiberglass Body Will Be Bolted To The Pan. Im Not Using The Stock Floors So I Went Ahead And Cut All That Crap Away. I Was Thinking Of Using 1 X 1 Steel And Bending To The Contour Of The Fiber Body Where It Sets On The Sides/floors. Will This Be Enough Or Do You Have Any Other Ideas?

That is the exact same thing that I did with my buggy. I used 1X1 and it seems to work great.

JRVW, what size bolts did you use and what is the spacing between them? Does it feel reary sturdy on the laterals ? Any gasket in between fiber and rails? thanks

I used 1x2 box and it came out nice. I sectioned the tubing for the bends and rewelded. Check out the build up under my "buggy pics". MURZ

I used 3/8 size bolts. I put five down each rail of the pan. I also used a belly pan gasket that was cut to fit the shortened pan. I seem to be quite rugged. I havent had it of road yet but I have a lot of confidence in it.
