Any Buggies In Montana?
Hey I just wanted to see if there was any Buggy people in Montana. I inherited A Manx from my Grandfather a year ago. I have been doing a little work at a time to it. It is running and looks good. I really enjoy driving it. But its a little cold now can't wait until it warms up. Really enjoy reading about everyones bugs. My Grandfather started a buggy club in SantaMaria CA. way back the "Fun Bugs" I use to go to Pismo with him and climb devils slide. Thats been closed down for awhile. Now I bug around with the family in Northwest Montana. Keep on Bugin!, Montana Manx
I'm spitting distance from Santa Maria and while I'm no expert on all the buggy clubs around here, I don't think the "Fun Bugs" are still around. Maybe after my buddy Dave and I get our projects on the road, we can get something started. It'd be neat some photos from you grandfather's collection if there is any. Happy Holidays!

Pics soon
I will send some pics of it soon. I have to get it back togeather I am replacing the Generator it was full of Pismo sand and the brushes where stuck and the inside was rotting out from that sand and salt. The buggy is in really good shape. It was in his garage any time it was not in use so even the yellow gelcoat is good. The pan is a 66 I still do not know what year the body is but I do have the original paper work from when he got the kit and it is a Myers Manx and thats what he called it sense he first got it. I even have some paper work from Bruce and Winny that they had sent him. He had a 1600 duel port built for it after the original motor. The motor was built over towards Bakersfield for dune climbing. At present it still runs really good but I cannot get the gas tank lid to quit leaking when it is full!!! any ideas I have tryed one other cap but leaks just the same the neck seems ok. Had to replace the brakes, fuel line, carb and tires. Have a set of paddles believe it or not there is a place north of us with some sand dunes. O and it has steering brakes. They work good on all the mountain dirt roads. Been getting most of my parts from J Bugs any other places online to get parts. Thanks for your replys,
