http://www.dunebuggybody.com The Savage Brothers have an exellent metalflake finish on the "Max". It is a Clone - mould was taken from an original Manx. They are located in Atlanta Ga. Prices range from 1200 to 1600 depending on thickness, metalflake, side pods, etc.

I know second-hand genuine Manxes are available but if I were to build another Buggy I would only ever start with a new gel-coat shell unless I found something really spacial. When you work out the time involved in fixing up an old body plus the cost of a half-decent paintjob (that wouldn't take the knocks and last anything like gel-coat) a new body works out cheaper most times. I would HAVE to resort to buying a clone in that case so I'll just get my moan in now... Why doesn't Bruce start selling authorized Classic Manx bodies again? Not 'Limited Edition' or 'Signiture' runs but just ordinary plain Manx bodies like the copiers do...only better!!!??? :2cents:

I absolutely concur! Make more new Meyers Manxs!

Image and the long wheelbase Bugle as well as the Rat!!! Hey, didn't they call the LWB version of the Baja GT the Sahara??? Spooky!!!

I paid $1,000 for my new out of mold clone. Solid as hell, 1/4 inch thick at the thinnest areas, white gelcoat, happy to pay! Still building......
