Was cruising tonight to a local cruise in and when making a left turn on green 2 walkers walked out in front of the car ahead of me who slammed the brakes. No place to go but into the rear of the car. So much for my winter cruises. Bent the front end bad, broke the glass and the shock tower is bent forward on the top. Also the bumper is bent up and the hood is cracked. I have to get a new digital camera before I can take pictures since mine was thrown against the dash and broke. Hope to have a few shots later in the week when I get a new camera. Dam Dam DAm!!!!
that sucks! did you have ins to cover it or do you have to eat it? at least you're ok and you've got a few months before the season to get the work done.
Sorry to hear that. Think you will have it driveable in time for Ocala? Good thing I didn't count on that ride. My wife is coming with me, but I'm sure we can squeeze rides in for everyone.
Ya I am ok and I do have insurance. Worst thing is I think it bent the pan. I took measurements and its off 1/2 " left to right sides. I was hoping to just replace the front end and get a new hood and dash but I think its deeper than that. Once I post up some pics I could sure use some advice on things to check for damage. The body is also bent at the fenders the passanger fender is 3" lower than the drivers now. I can tell you the first thing I am ordering is disk brakes for the front!!! Ok thats it for tonight I can't look at it anymore!!!!! Thanks for the kind words guys. I guess on the up side I get to do a partial buggy build!!!!
I hate it when people tell me this when i'm pi**ed, but a car is REALLY only a car. You on the other hand, are of a great deal more importance, just ask your family !!! You can rebuild your buggy !!! I will say, I still feel for you cause I know it SUCKS. On the lighter side, this might of been what you looked like when you saw that guy stop in front of you. Just trying to cheer you up a bit. Darren
A rebuilt buggy is not the same as a new one from scratch....jajaja just kidding, just rebuild it the best u can and dont hold back on any parts, replace not fix...if u can. Oh and buy a box of chocolates and some get well soon balloons and tie them to the shifter.
My buddy has a decent buggy for sale for a grand in Louisiana. It went underwater in Katrina but is all there. Check out the samba. Search "louisiana" . Shannon's buggy
