There will be lots of pics soon. I still find it fascinating to see how everyone overcomes the various problems like the hood fitting. When I did mine I shaved the sides of the hood to get it to sit down until it dropped in. I hate having panels under stress.

What did you do for a column support in the end? I'm starting on making mine tommorrow night.

You know David, I remember a thread about this too. I'm not sure who posted a picture but I think it may have been MURZ. I looked back a few months worth of threads but I can't find the picture anymore.

here are a couple of his pics of it installed: http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b374/MURZI/ couple more on this page: http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b374/ ... /?start=20 if you need more you can get ahold of him on thesamba.com i haven't installed mine yet (yes, STILL in for paint). but berrien assured me that it does tie in with the windshield. they could only refer me to the install papers which doesn't look like it does and murz says it didn't either. so if you figure it out, let us know.

Thanks, it looks good; I think I'll make something similar. After looking at Berrien's photos it looks like they just provide two seperate reinforcing plates for either side of the screen. My current ManxII runs a similar set-up; the fiberglass is easily strong enough to support the windshield without it being tied to the dash-frame as long as the hood is fixed down properly.
I used the Flatlands jobby. I like it. shaky
A friend fitted one in a Predator and I thought it a bit on the flimsy side...could have been the way he installed it though... I like the look of the Berrien one but I've not got the time to import one. Home made it is then!!!

Very interesting to see how high the hood screws sit on the lower edge of the hood. So did you find this manx, just a wash and no paint. Looks like great countryside.

Another way to do the side posts (I think this is from Samba). So you don't have to do the bend.
