What does it cost to get rid of the new popups at the bottom of the page?

I'm not seeing any pop-up ads at all. I looked at the forum ad settings and this is what is shown.

"This community has Gold Ad-Free status"

They appear across the bottom of the page on all manx club forum sections.

The properties of the latest one are: http://share.meebo.com/drmediaalert/fc1 ... int_100x60

It appears I have been infected with meebo whatever that is.  Every time I start using YUKU something else happens and I wish I could figure out where all the crap comes from.
I really have no desire or time to figure out or use all of this social engineering crap.  I have gotten along just fine for 65+ years without having it and plan to get along without it in the future.

After looking at the YUKU support items I discovered the following post:

"Gran, you will never see ads because you are the owner. Board owners never see ads on their own boards, whether the board is Gold or not.

To see what others see when they view your board, you will need to log out of your owner account and use another account that does not have Supporter -- or view your board while logged out, if it is not a private board.

The chat bar is connected to profiles (the new style only). If someone has it enabled on their profile, they will see ads while they are at any board whether it is Gold or not. They will also see ads from it when they view any profile. They may not see an ad on every page, depending how the chat-bar ads rotate.

The chat bar can be disabled by clicking the wrench icon on the navigation bar, scrolling to the bottom of the Settings page, removing the check from the box next to "Enable chat bar", and clicking the "Save Chat Settings" button.  If they want to keep the chat bar enabled but not see the ads, they will need to purchase Supporter for their account.

If your members are seeing ads embedded in topics please give us the URLs (addresses) of some of those topics so we can take a look."

I followed the procedure outlined above and all the crap went away.  Perhaps all will be well now.
