I've finally got the top and doors fitted and I really just have a punch list of small things to complete. I'll post a full write up of everything that was done but at one point I was in a bit over my head. Strangely enough, I didn't account for how much room all the parts would take up when everything was taken apart. It left very little room to work in the dead of last winter. It almost didn't matter when I nearly burnt my garage down with a propane heater? It took a bit longer than expected but everything is bullet proof. Ready for another 37years.So close to being done.....

Thanks Jerry. A freshly rebuilt singleport. :driving: Besides just recently purchasing a header for it, It is the only thing I haven't touched.....yet. Runs awsome and sounds mean. (that could have something to do with the rusty exhaust) It has an interesting story that should be told with pictures. I just rather finish than resize photos. All original gel coat..... I purchased it last Christmas Eve..... Eve completely on impulse. (again part of the story) Thanks to everyone that pride themselves in answering questions. (we all know who you are) because I couldn't have rebuilt a car without the help.

Than you all, I really appreciate it. I'm just trying to add some content. It's easy to complain, but probably easier to do something about it. And while there are more buggy websites than ever, this is still the best Meyers Manx site there is...... This is the car New Years Day after meeting the transport truck at midnight the night before in a local parking lot. FYI:The pictures that i purchased the car from showed the car in a much nicer light. .... And maybe a few years.
All in all, everything was there. It was also apparent that everything needed to come apart. The frame desperately needed a protective coating and I questiond the soundness of the internal fuel tank. Anyway at this point I figure it's New Years and I I have all winter. We all know how that goes.

Thanks Dennis. After I pulled the hood, I realized that it was going to take a bit more than some degreaser and some new bushings. What you can't see is the two cyndrilical lead weights that were welded to the front beam. I had to remove them to get the hood off. I need to find that picture as they were pretty funny.
While wiring isn't my strong point, I knew I could do better. Funny thing is, everything worked.

While not falling apart, the Tow'd could certainly benefit from a freshening up.
*For what it's worth, the day that I took the picture of the frame outside it was well below 10 degrees. I actually had to wait over 6 weeks before the temp. went above the 40 or 50 degrees that you need to apply por15.

And getting the body back on:
The front beam took a lot of work. ( I took out a leaf or two to make it cushy....There has to be a reason that the previous strapped 100 lbs of lead to the front end?) That POR 15 sure is sticky stuff..
