windshield

just got a new windshield.does it matter which is the front side,one side of the frame has a grove and the other side is smooth ? i have seen them mounted both ways. thanks !

The slot in the windshield takes a soft or hardtop and normally faces forward, but I've seen them mounted back to front here in England too, but the correct way is forward.
