"Maniac's 2010 North of Mojave Adventure

Post by theManiac »

EVERYONE is invited to my 2010 North of Mojave Adventure. This will be the 8th year it has been held. It all started when Doran Dobranzski was going to NYU to learn how to be a dentist. He called & said he needed a "dune buggy fix" & would I help arrange something for when he would be home during "Spring Break". So we decided out north of Mojave was the place to be! Rudi & Elyse, the Felix's, Bobby Lee & wife & a whole bunch of others made it out for the first annual "Doran Is Home On Spring Break & Needs A Buggy Fix Run"!!! It has had several names over the years, but from now on it will be known as the North of Mojave Adventure! Doran & his wife Jennifer will be there & so will a bunch of other buggistas! Here is a link to more info about it & I will update it ever so often! http://dsb.yuku.com/topic/2201

Hey Maniac who did the bumpers on those cars in the pictures from the previous mojave run? I'd be interested in one for my car.

Weather Update For Adventure

Post by theManiac »

My friend that is a meteorologist said the weather for the North of Mojave Adventure is looking real decent! Day-time Temps high 60s/low 70s. Night-time Temps high 30s/low 40s. They may get another bit of rain out there this week & weekend, so we may have a few puddles, for those that would like to honor the memory of Ken Trongo with a "puddle dusting" & the trail dust shouldn't be too bad either! They didn't receive as much rain out there as you would think, maybe just enough to bring out the desert wildflowers!

Post by theManiac »

The weather for the Adventure has taken a turn for even better!!! Day-time Highs in the high 60s to mid 70s!!! Possibly even a jaunt into the high 70s!!! Night-time Lows in the mid 40s!!! No rain, plenty of freshly blossomed wild flowers & the dust shouldn't be very bad at all!!!
