Quick update:

There are 4.5 weeks left to get your early registration forms submitted for MOTB 2015. Why should you register early? There is a significant savings in registration costs for early registration vs. walk-up registration. Additionally if you want to guarantee that you will be able to get one of our special 5th Anniversary Event shirts, you need to pre-order. There is no guarantee we will have any left during the event for walk-up registration or purchase of extra shirts.

Sponsors: The MOTB event is fortunate to have a number of our former sponsors back on-board this year. In addition to our previous sponsors, we have a couple of new ones this year. Some of our sponsors offer Manx Club members significant discounts for their products and services. This year Rebel Wire is offering Manx Club members a 10% discount when you order from them. Please tell them you are Manx Club member when you order. Additionally, the Travelodge is once again offering a 20% discount on room rates for the MOTB 2015.

Please visit http://www.manxonthebanx.com and click on our sponsor's links.

See you on the Banx in October.

Update Sep 16, 2015:

We are two weeks away from the deadline for getting your early registration forms submitted for the MOTB 2015 (Sept 30th). However, the event shirts are going to be ordered next Friday, Sep 25, to ensure that the shirts are ready in time for the event. While there will be some additional shirts ordered in anticipation of walk-up registrations, the quantity and sizes will be limited. What this means is if your early registration forms do not reach us by Sep 25th, there are no guarantees that your shirt pre-order will be honored. Additionally, if you are going to do walk-up registration there is no guarantee there will be any event shirts available at all. Shirts at the event will be available for sale on a first come, first served basis.

Please don't wait until the last minute to pre-register for the MOTB.

All the shirts are fuchsia, which happens to be a popular buggy color this year 8)

We are just one week away from the end of the early registration period for MOTB 2015. Have you submitted your form yet? Don't miss out on the early registration discount. Visit http://www.manxonthebanx.com for more information.

One of our new events this year is VW valve cover racing. We expect this activity will bring out the most creative talents we've seen so far. There's still plenty of time to build a racer and show off your skills.

We've gotten word that Dr. Hans Zarkov has completed Project Z (not to be confused with Project X) but unfortunately it's gotten held up in customs.

Here is a picture of the agents inspecting the crate that Project Z was shipped. Some might recognize the agent in the background. She is the same one that was patrolling the parking lot at the Travelodge last year during MOTB 2014.

When the agents opened the crate, here is what they saw:

Under the mysterious racer they found:

Upon closer inspection, the racer had these markings on it:

...more to come.

Funny you should ask vwmanx, it would seem that the shipping crate is somewhat similar to a particular Dr's TARDIS. Every time I open the lid there's a new mystery piece sitting in the bottom. Just this morning two more items appeared.

Here is the first one. Not sure what it is? Maybe a bullet from the Lone Ranger? Ideas?

The second item really has me stumped. Could it be a recharging station? A heat shield? Or maybe a launching pad?

Well, the trash talking has officially started around the MOTB valve cover racing activity. I received the following photo from John Parker of his VCR (valve cover racer) along with this message: "Dr. Zarkov, here is an image of the only view you will get to see of my racer!"

Wow! Now there's a lot of confidence in those words. We'll have to see if Mr. Parker can back up that boast!

Keep the photos coming.
