What Duel manifols fit stock Manx2?

I may have asked this before but now I do need to know I bought a motor for my new build and it has duel 48,s on long race mamifolds. I will not be back to that car for two weeks so will be thinking of what fits and not knowing. I think I need the Empi off-set style and will be down sizing to 40's. Any ideas or pictures My body is not raised or lowered just a stock pan and body..Thanks

I don't know which body you have. I had to put a body lift in my clone to accommodate dual carbs. I used the Weber Redline Kit 40mm.

Thanks Ed but no lift for me. It is a Manx2's. There must be manifolds that fit maybe square back ones? Pictures would help.

This is the answer I got from Pat Downs at CB performance.


I can use our type-3 manifold, it is extremely short. It requires the use of a bell crank style linkage instead of the cross bar type. other wise, you will need to remove the manifold/carb assembly to install the engine. Yes, I have built hundreds of engines for Manx style cars:)

Since the bodies aren't the same, I don't think pictures would be of any use.

I think you'll be good to go with the offset intakes.I have them on my 4 digit manx ll and they fit.It's close on the passenger side, the upper heim joint/arm on the crossbar just misses the f'glass.And i do have to remove the air cleaners to remove the motor.I put a plastic bag over carbs to keep the bad stuff out while removing engine.
These are dual weber 40's with the offest intakes.

I bought the synclink that pete offers(i dont know if i can reference another website?) but haven't had time to install yet,maybe this weekend.from what i've read,its a very smooth system.i have to do some mods to my rollbar for a sombrero top first then pull the motor for the synclink install.
If/when i install i can try to post some pics?
Sorry to hear the crossbar isn't going to work for you.it is very close on my buggy.
