I am trying my best to complete my buggy by July in time for the Big Bear run, but I am a little worried I will not be able to complete the remaining tasks and test to be certain it is reliable enough to do the run. My latest hurdle is the engine cage, I need to remove the two large bolts that the motor/trans mounts connect to. My questions are
1) what size are the bolts (I need two more to connect the mount to the cage)
2) what sizesocket does it take?
3) can these bolts be removed without taking the engine out? I was thinking of removing one at a time to install the cage mount
it this poss?, thanks everyone I got my fingers crossed that I can make it

Engine cage mounting points
If you are asking about the two main bolts holding the motor mount in you will need to at the very least support the engine well enough as the bolts are a major mounting point and hold the drivetrain to the frame. There is a lot of weight there. You'd be better off removing the engine. It's a very quick operation in a buggy, maybe 30 minutes tops. If I recall the bolts require a 30mm socket.
