Need Advice on a Frustrating Build

Oh yeah, new floors are going in. I bought the less expensive ones, and I bought halves just for the reason you suggested. They will overlap each other which should make welding them together a little easier. And hopefully, as you stated, give a little more support. I already have some Mazda Miata MX-5 seats for the build. I will not have to deal with the VW seat rails. There is a thread on The Samba site that shows a build using these seats. The builder had to manufacture his own seat mounts, but does not look difficult. I plan on adding some plate metal (3/16" - 1/4") across the bottom of the pan to provide even more stability for the seats.
You are certainly right on one thing, I do have plenty to deal with. Thanks for the tips.
