Insurance Agent

Post by dustygary »

I am looking for a State Farm Insurance Agent that can help my insurance agent with insuring a Manxter for "Agreed-Value". They are not quite sure how, so if anyone can refer an agent, and their phone number, that "knows the ropes" ; I will have my agent contact them. Thanks

You may not be able to get an agreed value from State Farm anymore. I had that type policy on my Manx, regular liability and collision with a stated value. When they renewed me I noticed the stated value had been removed. Research by my agent (he knew nothing about it) revealed that they now only do stated value policies on qualified antiques. Still waiting to hear if they accepted me for that. Otherwise I have a regular policy that'll pay whatever they feel a '73 Type 1 is worth.

I don't know about Kansas. In Florida an antique is 30 years old. Mine is registard with state farm as a 1972 thing with the agreed value of 10,000. I had to take it to my agent for photos since it has undergone an extreme modification. Check with the tag office (DMV) there to see what they consider an antique. State Farm did just bump it up 20.00 bucks a month. I checked with Hagerty who insures my type 1 and they will not touch buggies. Hope this helps.

Check these people out. On their Clients page they have a Sandrail and a Fiberglass buggy. http://www.midwestclassicins.com/Our%20Cleints.htm
