Bruce and Winnie DownUnder - Buggy Fest 2008

Post by Manx-Australia »

Hi Guys, Will post a full trip report over the next week but just thought i would post a quick update. Bruce and Winnie where the guest of honour at the Australian Buggy Fest 2008. The day was great and we got over 37 Buggies make the effort and many more potential Buggy Owners and Builders. It was great to meet Bruce and Winnie and spend some time to with man who started it all. We got the opportunity to take them out on a club run and I don't think I have seen so many Buggy owners grin so much, even when they were getting bogged ... More to follow .... Image Image Image

You don't see many 80 year olds get in and out of buggies like Bruce does. The Beach run was even better, there is just something about cruising along the beach, waves breaking to the right, sand dunes to the left and Bruce Meyers sitting next to you telling you about when he building Old Red .... I only wish that we could get Manxter is Australia, then I wouldn't have had to build the Iguana to take the wife and kid out ...

Looks like I will be able to get an article in the Manx Mania 1 Dec release so if it makes it there then I will wait till after it has gone to print as I don;t want to spoil the suprise. We got a heap of pics and vids so should get some interesting footage for the DVD. Cheers,

We love to see Bruce and Winnie at events in other places besides the U.S. It looks like lots of fun and we would love to attend an event out of the Country, just not enough dollars to do so. Keep inviting Bruce and Winnie to your events, they are awsome people and we are sure you all enjoyed them.

Anyway we are working on getting over there for a run with you guys, just the exchange rate is killing our flights and spending money ..
