Front Bumper on Classic Manx

Hi guys, I am a newbie to the Manx world so I apologize if this is a dumb question. How do I know if I have a King Pin front end or a Ball Joint Axle front end? The pan is from a 1966 (or possibly 1967) VW.
The reason for my question is that I bought a new chrome bumper from Manx to replace the banged up from bumper that was on it when I bought it a month or so ago. The previous owner also had tow brackets installed for a tow bar that he gave me with the sale. The old bumper measures 26 7/8 and the new Manx bumper measures 24 1/2. Any thoughts or guidance greatly appreciated.

Ball joint and link pin refer to how the spindle is mounted to the trailing arms. The earlier link pin has a pin that runs through steering knuckle to the training arm and the later uses ball joints that are pressed into the trailing arms to connect the spindle. On your 66 or 67, it should be a ball joint front end.
