Am I Seeing Things?
Has anyone else noticed that threads are being started and after a couple of replys the thread goes away. Some times you might get an E-Mail like the following: "Joe I deleted your post. There was an earlier attempt to shift the topic to a political cause. Your post also attempting to also shift to a topic away from the intent of awareness on the loss of open lands. I feel your post was another attempt to disrupt of club civility. Mark Bryant" Is this an active attempt to moderate, control, or otherwise influence any posting on this forum?

Gene, I fully understand your message. However I am aware of at least 2 individuals who were part of the threads that were removed. There was no communication of any sort with either of these individuals prior to removing their views. One individual received a brief untitled e-mail after the threads were striped from the forum. In fact here is the message: "Joe I deleted your post. There was an earlier attempt to shift the topic to a political cause. Your post also attempting to also shift to a topic away from the intent of awareness on the loss of open lands. I feel your post was another attempt to disrupt of club civility. Mark Bryant" I have read this E-Mail several time and I find nothing that even comes close to a hint of aking me to remove my part of a thread.

IMO... the reality is... if you do not want any political views posted here, then do not post anything about what the government is trying or wanting to do with public lands that will affect the f/g dune buggy world! Then there's no reason to talk about it & let ideals, theology, politics etc. come out in someone's reply post!

With politics being the activity and planning concerned with achieving power and control in your country, I just cant see how you cant include them in that kind of topic.... Your beliefs is how YOU think things ought to be governed in your land and that IS political,, IMHO its going to be a tough topic to deal with, without getting political.
