Hi guys,
So I’m fixing the fiberglass and going to paint my 68 Manx. The previous owner painted over the green gel coat with some type of yellow paint that was painted on with brush strokes.
Would it be better to sand down just the bumpy/rough areas and just leave the yellow before painting, or to sand all the yellow paint off the body?
Im still learning so any advice would be appreciated.

Re: Paint Job Help
Maybe strip the yellow paint and see what the surface underneath is like.

Re: Paint Job Help
It seems unlikely that anyone that would "brush paint" a car would uses any sort of quality paint or preparation.
If you value your time and want a solid result, I would suggest getting rid of the yellow jello !
