tires

Post by 90volts »

they were old bias tires. they were labelsd 'L60'. I do not know what that converts to on today's tire. Even a tire shop and goodyear couldn't tell me the equivilant. The fronts were 'F70' by the way.

One of the problems with Manxes is that when Bruce first made them, extra wide tyres were not readily available, so the rear fenders are a bit too narrow if you want fatties. The Manxter has wider fenders to eliminate this problem. To be legal and to have wide tyres, fit some of that black rubber moulding that is fitted to the fenders of 4WDs to allow for bigger tyres. Here in Oz the regulation is that none of the tread may protrude beyond the sides of the vehicle. Sidewalls that bulge out are O.K. :2cents:
