Car Cover

Post by Reverb »

I know this has been discussed in the past, but I couldn`t find the thread. My body will be going to the paint shop soon, and I`ll want to cover it for protection after it`s done. I remember somebody saying they used a universal small car cover which fit fairly well. I was thinking of buying a Beetle cover. Has anybody used one on a Manx, and how did it fit? My buggy will be the standard old school type with full size windshield frame, and a single tube roll bar.

i use a beetle cover from pep boys and it fits just fine, even with the full top on. don't go for the cheapo though. the one i got is waterproof and has the reinforced grommets for tying off. even so it was around 50 bucks i believe.

Thanks. I was figuring 50 to 80 bucks for a cover anyways. That`s a drop in the bucket, compaired to the cost of the paint job. My girlfriend doesn`t drive, but has a nice 2 1/2 car garage just waiting for safe keeping of buggy project. I still want it covered to keep the dust and bird crap off. It always seems like, the shinier the paint job, the more the birds like to dirty it.
