In a Manxter with PRP seats and the rear Meyers Manx seats, are side slots required to get the lap belts to fit correctly across the hip? I can't tell in any pictures if the sides of the seats are high enough to prevent the belts from fitting snugly.

No. I am not using the side slots for a factory VW lap belt.
