2021 Manx in Mammoth Sept 16-19.

Mammoth Mountain RV Park has a few RV spots left on hold for the Sept 16th-19th. Mammoth Lakes Manx club event. If you want an RV spot they will hold until June 25th and then they will open to the public. To make reservations call 760-934-3822 ext #1 and leave a detailed message. Don't delay you might miss out.

The 2021 Manx at Mammoth event will be a different format. A bicycle club will also be in the area utilizing some of the same public roads & trails. As such we have identified a couple of locations where our paths might intersect. We have decided not to do a traditional show & shine and instead we will hit the trails earlier to reduce the chances of buggy’s & bikes converging on trails at the same time. We will have some anonymous judges within the group(s) observing and reporting back for a variety of different categories to be revealed at the Saturday night awards. We hope to have a Potluck dinner in the campground on Saturday night, although we may not have access to the club house so we will need to do it outside.
Event registration will open up the weekend of 8/7-8/8/2021. If you would like a paper registration sent to you please send an email to manxmembership@sbcglobal.net

It is with great disappointment that we must announce the Cancellation of the Manx Club’s 2021 Manx in Mammoth event. The ongoing Forest fires in Northern California have required, demanded a large amount of resources. The USFS has Closed all of the California National Forests until September 17th. This affects all of our proposed trail runs. Mammoth Mountain RV park, our host location has sent out a communication to all with reservations recommending rescheduling of plans. They have a large influx of evacuees from other fire impacted areas. We believe it is best to avoid the area at this time for the safety of our members and to reduce any unnecessary impact on the local resources. We will work with MMRV to develop a new date for the possibility of returning to MMRV in 2022.
Please be patient with the workers at MMRV, they have a lot to deal with especially with the reservations for stays scheduled prior to our groups arrival. I will let you know when they communicate to me they are ready to reschedule our group. For those with reservations at locations other than MMRV, please adjust your reservations.
We will work on Refunds through the Pay-Pal site as time permits.

***UPDATE 9/2/2021 *** We've got a new date from MMRV Sept 8-11th 2022, the earliest you will be able to arrive is Tuesday 6th, this will also hopefully avoid conflict with the bicycle group on the trails. Please ONLY email MMRV about your reservation, their phone lines are extrememly busy dealing with fire evacuees. They are aware of our group and will handle changes as they can.
