I for one was ready for some warm weather, shorts and some serious dunebuggy time
Day 1 Friday
we went out to Cow Mountain

to run the obstacle coarse
which consisted of a widened Motorcycle train with some very tight turns with severe drop offs on one side
The down hill part is like a dunebuggy bobsled shoot. It was a real smile maker
we soon found our self at the bottom of the coarse on a bridge full of water.
It was kind of a funny shot with water on top and below of the bridge

Kenny ran Mop ( I meean sweep) during this section
![Image](http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y4/tigerjr/IMG_10791.jpg)
We expected a lot of mud ,having rained only 2 days prior
but the mud holes were all dried and only found a few were found

So with mudd few and far between
Joe took advantage to attack the camera man (yours truly)
Feet don't let me down now

We were soon at the buggy wash and on our way back to Camp Condon

![Image](http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y4/tigerjr/IMG_10731.jpg)
Some buggy's needed more washing than others

Day 2
We planned a 100+ mile run through parts of the Mendocino National Forest
For those that have not been there a 100 mile round trip barely scratches the surface of the forest
We were attempting our now 4th attempt to get to Lake Pillsbury
In the past the weather had been our show stopper this time was someting else
The water crossings were numerous, so numerous that everyone was out of battery on their cameras close to the end
But the drive was one of the most scenic I had ever had in all my buggy years
![Image](http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y4/tigerjr/IMG_11011.jpg)
The crossings were varied in width and depth
and it was always a surprise what you might find.
But as soon as you crossed there would be helping hands for some just waiting to give a hand
![Image](http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y4/tigerjr/IMG_11071.jpg)
![Image](http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y4/tigerjr/IMG_11081.jpg)
![Image](http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y4/tigerjr/IMG_11091.jpg)
Smiles and laughing were plentiful
and then you would come around a corner and find
Mother Nature in full color
![Image](http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y4/tigerjr/IMG_11101.jpg)
Then as we neared the end
the crossings got just a little deeper
![Image](http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y4/tigerjr/IMG_11141.jpg)
![Image](http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y4/tigerjr/IMG_11131.jpg)
![Image](http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y4/tigerjr/IMG_11121.jpg)
Breakdowns were minor
but it sure is nice with this group
some one always seems to have the part you need

What an amazing time!!!
It's now time to take the wheels off and repack the bearings for LonePine
These are just a few of the many pictures and stories that will follow.
We never made it to Lake Pillsbury but tha will have to be another time and another story
which we now know will be an overnight trip
