Hi all i need the correct length for the handbrake cables, and the brake cables also for a 1964 Meyers Manx ? thanks for any help ralphdjeeper

Cut them so they are 14.25" shorter than stock VW brake cables, measured with the new ends attached. I only know of one 1964 Meyers Manx. Bruce Meyers owns it. Do you have a Meyers Manx that is sitting on a 1964 VW chassis?

Double check that length. Due to the multi year set up I was too short. (I was running a 63 pan with a 68 Long Axle swing arm and that extra few inches did me in. SInce the cable stretching machine was unavailable. I had the opportunity purchase new and have them shortened again. I may still have them. They could be yours If I still have them. Carlton

Really, the only accurate way to get the length that you need is to fit the long cable and mark it to the length that you need. There are too many variations possible to be certain that a measurement off the car will do it. I had a set that was 1 inch too short on my buggy. They worked well but getting them to fit was a pain.
