Column hole location

Post by Rick Iverson »

Fellas; Is there anyone out there with both a photo and a measurement for the column hole location on an M2 dash? As you can see, I have a mess to deal with, and I want to get it right the first time. Image Iverson

Bob; Thanks Bud. The coachwork is in a fiberglass repair shop, so I can have it done right. Unfortunately, it will be time before I get a chance to get with it - received orders for Iraq in Apr. Iverson Post Scriptum - any chance of a photo or two of the windscreen mounting locations? I want to get the angle right.

Image Iverson[/QUOTE] Heck, it looks like the steering column will fit thru that hole just fine. I would set the steering box where it's supposed to be (notch on the steering box clamp hooked on the tab that is welded to the beam). Bolt the hood in position. Run the steering column thru the dash, bolt the steering column to the steering box and the steering coulumn support behind the dash. Oops, the Manx 2 doesn't have a dash support, does it? Just center the steering tube over the shaft the tape some cardboard on the dash to to indicate the location.
