side curtains

Post by chopperdentist »

Hi, this is Davide from Italy and this is my car: Image This is a '71 Autozodiaco, an Italian manufacterer who copied Manx first and DAC Deserter after. Mine is very very similar to the Manx. I have just finished restoring the car. You can take a look to the whole restauration at http://broken-bones.blogspot.com Now I'd like to enclose the car to use it during winter. I'm looking for how to make sidecourtains and back windows as the original. Can you help me? please post spme pics. thanks a lot, Davide

Hey David, I will soon be recovering a set of Manx Side curtians to put on my buggy. I will post some pics of the frame work for you.

There are (Meyers Manx) instructions printed that show how to do what your after. I mailed a set of plans to ManxDavid on here a while back, maybe he will post em up. I'm not too hot on these things, or I would post them myself as I still have a copy.

Im having the top replaced with a new one with different rear windows. The side curtians frames will be redone as well with new material. Im having a professional do all the work. Some things I just cant do. There are zippers in the side curtians but none in the top.

David, I think the side curtians are held closed by a strap with a snap on it which snaps somewhere inside the hardtop. If you look on the photo there appears to be a snap above the side curtians
