Hi there!
I'm a Buggy owner since of recent and reside in LA.
Since I'm mechanically not savvy at all (yet at least, hopefully), I'm looking for a shop that could look after transmission/shifting problems I'm having.
Ideally in SF valley/along the 5 somewhere, but most of all I'm curious what the shops are that people trust around here!
Thx a lot, I'll post some pics soon

I have heard great things about Jim's VW Service and Repair in Monterey Park. I have a buddy with a couple of Manx's and he tows his cars there all the way from Ventura!

I second the nomination for Jim's in Monterey Park! They do all my work and are positively the best.

We had our transaxle built at Rancho Transmissions in Anaheim. Just stay away from regular transmission shops (like Aamco etc.) as they will charge you 3 times as much as a shop that knows how to work on VW stuff.
