anyone running a Corvair engine AND corvair automatic trans in their Manx or Towd?
Pros & cons?
any issues to be aware?

Biggest issue is weight and only a two speed transmission. Id did some research and have never found anyone upgrading one to more gears. Plus i5 shifts hard.

There are a few Corvair Powerglides running around in buggies. I believe one is being built in Cedar Rapids, IA at the moment (I sold several Powerglides to the gentleman).
I'm a Corvair guy - so maybe biased - but there is nothing wrong with the 'glide. My 66 Autocross car had a 95hp/Powerglide, and was plenty good on the Autocross, mostly leaving it in low gear. I had that same car on road course as well, at Hastings, NE.
I've got a 66 Convertible with a Powerglide as well (was at Manx in the Midwest with it), and its a great highway car.
I think it all depends on what you are doing with the buggy...
