Been looking for nearly 6 months and I finally found one. Not really sure what make it is it is titled as a 69 VW and has a 74 motor thats about all I know so far. It is nealry complete and needs little to no work. If any of you guys have seen this buggy or know anything about it please speak up!!! So far I can't stop driving it. Since these pictures I have installed the roll bar. Enjoy all I know I have so far!!!

Nice! It must be fun to buy a buggy and actually drive it.....Imageas opposed to sitting in the garage and looking at a pile of parts!! Congrats and enjoy it!

How much did you have to hand over for it if you don't mind me asking?

Uncle Bob good to hear from you. I was the guy in Ft Myers who was considering your yellow Buggy. I did not have the funds at the time and was trying to get them together when the add left the Samba. Man that was a sweet ride as well. I gave $5000.00 for it but its done and driveable!!!!! MAN I AM HOOKED!!!!! Far as I know its the only buggy around here and man what a hear turner. I had a guy drive off the road looking at it yesterday morning. lol
Far as I know its the only buggy around here and man what a hear turner.
Now that you have one, everyone will tell you where all the other ones are. The more the merrier. Enjoy it. Be sure you tie it down or put it inside for Wilma. Glad to see yet another Florida buggier found his way here. :hello:

Mvovr, I thought I had the only buggy here in Dover, Delaware until I started driving it... I now know of 12 buggies within 10 miles of my house!!! 5 on the road. Kinda like when you buy a new car. You never notice that make before, but when you have one they are everywhere. As far as the guy running off the road...:laugh1:

The more the merrier - Welcome Mvovr!!! We can plan for a large crowd at our next Florida get together. Shall we start the planning now? Where should we meet? I vote that we make it after the first of the year, so I can drive the buggy (fingers crossed). O, bye the way Chuck, I hurt my back (separated two lower ribs) 5 weeks ago and have not been able to turn a wrench on the thing - that will change very soon!!! Look forward to seeing everyone at Pasco Bug In and The Daytona Turkey Swap meet. I see $$$$ already leaving my hands.. With Ft. Myers and Miami getting in on the action - somewhere around Lakeland or Winter Haven may be central to all. What do ya think!!! Start a thread on the gatherings heading and everyone decide!!!

Sounds good to me. I have family in Lakeland, I can kill two birds with one stone. We seem to be getting quite a few more Fl. buggy people hanging out here. GREAT!! Seem to be mostly from the south. Hopefully we can get em all together. Sorry to hear about your back Jim. I'm hoping to be turned loose by the doctor on the 4th. I can live with some pain, I just don't want to do any further damage. We can limp around the Bug Jam together. I need to get back to work. Medical bills and 4 or 5 months out of work has really hurt my buggy fund among other funds. :(

Hey FL Guys, Don't know if you are keeping a mailing list of sorts, but please add me too it. If you meet near Lakeland, I might be able to get down that way. My in-laws own a place (they rent it out over the winter) in Zephyrhills. My wife and I haven't been down there in a long time. I keep trying to hit the end of spring training, but the renter is never gone by then. Keep me in mind, Bud

Hey Bud, We'd be glad to have you. Keep your eyes open here because I'm sure this is where it will originate. I'm not sure if Jim is talking about meeting in Lakeland to discuss the get together or he knows of some place around there to ride. I'm sure he will let us know. Weren't you trying to get something together up your way?
