Thats Awsome!! I need an engine upgrade!!!
I think the wheelies are more a result of the way the buggy is setup then it is the HP of the engine. The rather large fuel tank is all the way in the back and the drivers seat is all the way back against the rear seat area. I can tell you, my Manx with an extremely stout 1914 will spin the tires all the way thru 1st and 2nd gear, to the point of going sideways and it won't even try to lift the front end. The fuel tank is in the stock location, steel wheels and stock seating location.
The amount of incline and traction make a huge difference too. I took my sand buggy in a local parade a couple times, it would fry the tires or pop a wheelie and grind the skid pan down main street. Just depending on traction. Most people thought it was cool, but some joker shoveling horse crap gave me a bit of a lecture about how dangerous it was. When he finished I did about a 50 footer and a power slide "Rockford" turn with the cutting brakes. He was not pleased.
The buggy in said video never used to wheelie. A gearbox and rear tyre change was all that was needed to get it in the air if thats any help The engine is a relatively mild 2007 with downjetted 48s .
Very sweet site man. The buggy's look sweet. It looks like a police car passing after the wheelie in the video? Mey be my version of player though.
