First I would like to say sweet buggy. I have a ? though. How did you get your battery to work back there with and I.R.S. set up. I was wanting to do the same with my buggy but I was afraid that the trailing arms would swing up and hit it. Any info would help, and more pics would be great. p.s. how do you post pics on here I want to get some feedback on my buggy as it pogresses along. thanks Jeremy Chattanooga, TN

Two ways to post pictures. Find a web-host for your pictures such as Photobucket (many others as well). Hit the square yellow box (insert image) in the toolbar when you are writing a message. A box pops up and you paste the url of your photo in that box. If you save your photos in a file on your computer you can hit the "manage attachments" button in additional options that is at the bottom of the message page. Next you browse for the picture file that you want to use and upload it. I like to use photos that I have saved to my dune buggy file on my computer.(415 and counting)

The battery box size was the brainchild of again Jerry D. I had read several posts where he said a Lawnmower battery would work on a buggy. Taking his idea, I sought out a 350cca battery from interstate and built a simple angle iron box and welded bolts to the underside. The bolts are finished off with the cradles from 2 muffler clamps. I also used nyloc nuts and a nylon strap to finish it off. I like the way it came out. As for clearance with the IRS, I see no problems at all due to the battery's small size. If I find that one battery doesn't do the job I will add another one just like it to the other side. MURZ
