Contact Andy Felix at Up Yer Bug. He has the only Meyers Kubelwagen ever built. Andy is a Manx Club Sponsor. Just looked at the sponsor site and see Andy also has Andy's Auto Specialist's. It is the first on the list of sponsors.
Here's one that got run over by a tank!!!LOL  http://vwfilms.net/ijlc.htm
Dave thats the one I have here for resto work,, HONEST. Its a GRP one that was made in UK,, 7 were built for that film but this is the only survivor. I met up with Andy Felix and Dave Deal back in the late 90s, in fact ive even ate Baja dust, kicked up from that type 82 :laugh1: The one i have here was not built as tough as i think it should of been,,, ok maybe for a bit of film work,, but no good for a Baja blast. The info im after is moulding details, ie, how the Meyers one was made, splits n joins, steel reinforcements, inner mouldings ETC. I would rather rebuild it back strong, without all the flex,, and Andys 82 seemed to me VERY TOUGH
David, I took a couple pictures of Andy's Kubel when I was at the recent Manx Club Lone Pine run. Andy told me that it was originally purchased in the original tooling (molds) when B.F. Meyers was being sold at auction by Dave Deal and assembled by Dave Deal. Sometime after that, Andy bought the Kubel and by using some original Kubel parts made the Meyers Kubel look like the real deal.

Bob
Thanks Bob, I think that model uses a steel frame-work to which the steel panels are fixed, this is what i would like to fit inside the GRP body, rather than the GRP inner tub, thats currently fitted.
